Here's Some Great NEWS for
Video Cassette & DVD Conversions!!

All conversions from April 2024 onward will at least have double the resolution through a process called up-scaling, we are able to improve on the original recordings, and that also includes personal home videos already on DVD. Please note that detail can not be added, but your footage will have less image noise and will easier to view, this upgrade is now used throughout all our conversions.

However as the footage will be a higher resolution 1280x720 or 1920x1080, we will now need to process all movie files to MP4 instead of MPEG, this means there is a better compression rate keeping the end file size low enough so it can still be transferred to Fat32 USB devices such as USB sticks.

Ai conversions that completely estimate detail at 1920x1080p or larger can be done for short videos but will be rather expensive at this stage and these will be much larger files and can be transferred to devices such as Portable Hard Drives or something that can take files larger than 4.7GB, otherwise we might need to cut files in to parts so they can be transferred.

At 1280x720p 1hr make a 7.5 - 8.5Gb with standard compression MP4, but we can compress even further to about 2Gb as MP4 files).

Compatibility issues might arise for people who have older playing devices, but we provide a freeware program with your files called VLC, which will play any video format files as long as it's not faulty.

So if you think your system is too old and you'd still prefer the MPG file format, please let us know when your order comes in, otherwise we'll be going with MP4 file format from here on.
